Amherst women’s volleyball enjoyed another successful week, finishing Colby 3-0 in less than an hour in LeFrak Gymnasium Friday night and repeating the sweep the next afternoon with a 3-0 win over Bates.

The Firedogs came ou t strong in the first set on Friday after dropping the first two points to the Mules. Gaining momentum and never looking back, the team rallied for 11 unanswered points, highlighted by several key kills from Nicole Gould ’16, Lizzie Ahern ’16 and Mia Natsis ’18, and an impressive service ace from Kelci Keeno ’17.

Coming off several electric games last week, the Amherst women’s volleyball team suffered its first loss to conference rival Williams in a tough Wednesday night match. But the purple and white bounced back quickly on Saturday with an impressive showing in their double-header at Babson University.

The Firedogs traveled to Williamstown on Wednesday night and overwhelmed the Ephs to start. The first set was a hard-fought match, with each team fighting for every point.

Amherst women’s volleyball built on its impressive, undefeated record this week: The team earned its first two wins in NESCAC competition, boosting the Jeffs to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Amherst women’s volleyball enjoyed another successful week with two non-conference wins and a crucial victory in their match against NESCAC leader Bowdoin, boosting their overall record to 16-2. With these three wins in the books, Amherst is a perfect 8-0 at home in LeFrak Gymnasium and is riding a four game winning streak into this coming week of competition.
