Keri Lambert is an amazingly talented person, and don’t let her convince you otherwise. An All-American runner who is currently the national champion in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Lambert has managed to excel in both her athletics and academics, graduating a History major with a focus in African environmental history. With an inexhaustible curiosity, a love for inspirational quotes and a propensity for pranks, Lambert is situated to gracefully and quietly take over the world, which can only be a good thing for the rest of us.

Q: What is your thesis about?
A: My thesis is a creative nonfiction piece on foster care. It’s about my family’s and my experience with foster children, how we’ve learned to navigate that, my personal take on what it’s like, what the issues are that need to be solved and what I’ve seen.
Q: How did this idea come about?
In the past, Amherst’s sexual misconduct policy was covered under the broad Statement on Respect for Persons. Over the past few years, the College decided to specify what constituted a violation of the sexual harassment section of the honor code. As of this summer, the Statement on Sexual Misconduct has been added to the Student Handbook.
