Between Feb. 18 and Feb. 20, Elena Marione ’16’s thesis production “Twine: After Troy” ran in Kirby Theater for a full house. The two words that best describe the production are “interactive” and “dynamic.”

Upon entering the Powerhouse last Wednesday, you could immediately feel the excitement permeating the room where the fall 2015 Dance and Step at Amherst College performance was held.

Ron Bashford’s production of Anton Chekhov’s “The Cherry Orchard” ran in Kirby Theater from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1. The house was packed for all four performances, and audience members ranged from toddlers to students to grandparents.

The North Carolina Stage Company, culminated two years of work on Sept. 12, when they performed their rendition of Shakespeare’s “Pericles, Prince of Tyre” for the very last time at Amherst College.

The first performances of “Pericles” took place at the North Carolina Stage Company’s home theater in Asheville, North Carolina during the fall of 2014. After that, the play’s team dispersed and focused on other projects before reconvening in 2015 for a final production run from Sept. 9 to Sept. 11 at Amherst’s Holden Theater.
